How do I enroll in the Data Science Fellowship?
There are 4 steps in the admissions process. Read through this blog post to see how you can successfully complete your application and become an official student in our Data Science Fellowship.

We’ve compiled everything you need to know about completing your application and becoming an official Data Science Fellowship student. In this blog post we take the key points above and go into more detail for each one. Let’s start!
What are the steps in the admissions process?
Step 1: Online Application
The admissions process begins with you simply signing up on the Data Science Fellowship landing page. Signing up online is your official entry and message to the Eskwelabs Admissions team that you are interested in becoming one of our program students.
Clicking "APPLY NOW" leads you to the free Aral-Aral for Data Science Learning Management System or LMS.
Reminder: Aral-Aral for Data Science is the free prep course that comes with your Data Science Fellowship application. This contains important forms like the scholarship form (if you intend to apply for a scholarship) and the Pathfinder assessment exam.
Step 2: Assessment
You are free to look at the material inside the Aral-Aral for Data Science prep course at any time, but the Eskwelabs Admissions team urges you to complete the assessment as soon as possible. Depending on the cohort you are applying for, we advise you to be mindful of the assessment exam deadline.
As of late September and October 2022, we have retired the Data Analytics Bootcamp assessment exam and the Data Science Fellowship assessment exam in favor of the brand new Pathfinder assessment exam.
What is the Pathfinder assessment exam?
The Pathfinder Test is Eskwelabs' multi-faceted test designed to provide the learner information about their data skills, how they can leverage it, and opportunities to learn with it.
The test consists of the following parts:
- Personal Biography
- Data Skills Assessment
- Data Tools and Path Self-Evaluation
- Learning Style Preferences
- Motivation
How different is the Pathfinder assessment exam from the old individual program assessment exams?
The Pathfinder is more holistic. Not only does it assess your baseline level of data skills but it also explores your learning style, motivations, and more.
Also, more encouragingly, the Pathfinder does not result in a "pass" or "fail" kind of outcome. Instead, it emphasizes the best Eskwelabs program that is fit for your skillset.
-> Meaning, if you are applying directly for the Data Science Fellowship (DSF), and the Pathfinder assessment exam sees a perfect match, then you are recommend for DSF!
-> But if you still need more prep time, you will be recommended to either the Data Literacy Skillscourse or the Data Analytics Bootcamp instead—or perhaps recommended to go through Aral-Aral for Data Science again or once more.
Where can I find the Pathfinder assessment exam?
When you apply for the Data Science Fellowship, you'll be led to the free Aral-Aral for Data Science Learning Management System (LMS). Once you enter the LMS and click "Curriculum," you will see at the very top of the page the option to take the Pathfinder assessment exam.
Step 3: Fit Interview
Once you have completed and passed the assessment, a representative from the Admissions team will contact you via email to schedule a 30 minute interview to get to know you and your reasons for joining the bootcamp a little bit more.
Whether or not you pass the interview, you will hear back from our admissions team about the status of your application.
Pro tip: Be mindful of new messages in your email inbox! Just to be extra safe, you can always check your SPAM folders, too.
Step 4: Tuition Payment
Once you pass the interview, you will be asked to select your tuition option or financing plan, and complete pre-bootcamp requirements such as signing the contract and filling out the acceptance form.

What are the tuition payment plans?
Eskwelabs offers its students the best opportunities to learn data skills, which is why we offer a variety of payment plans that suit our students’ different preferences and financial needs.
If you want to apply for the Data Science Fellowship but are unsure about how to finance it, read on to see the range of tuition payment plans that we offer:

- Method 2 - Stripe (Credit card/debit card payment) with 3.5% transaction fee
- Php 57,000
- Total including transaction fee: Php 58,995
Option B: Upfront one-time payment
Mode of payment
- Method 1 - Bank (bank transfer/deposit/Gcash) with 12% VAT
- Php 65,184
- Method 2 - Stripe (Credit card/debit card payment) with 3.5% transaction fee
- Php 58,200
- Total including transaction fee: Php 60,237
Option C: Installment payment
Mode of payment
- Method 1 - Bank (bank transfer/deposit/Gcash) with 12% VAT
- Php22,400/month for 3 months
- Total: Php 67,200
- Method 2 - Stripe (Credit card/debit card payment) with 3.5% transaction fee
- Php 20,000/month for 3 months
- Total including transaction fee: Php 62,100
Let’s talk about the tuition payment plans for those who would like to get financing assistance from our loan providers:
Option D: Study Now, Pay Later (Financing through Bukas or InvestEd)
For students who are interested in financing the cost of their tuition with the added support of a loan provider, we’ve partnered with the country’s leading educational loan providers that offer affordable rates to Data Science Fellowship students.

Scholarship
